Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is keen to leave the club this summer amid interests from Real Madrid and he’s the reason why, MySportDab reports.
Pogba’s main desire to leave Old Trafford stems from their lack of success and the fact he does not believe silverware is around the corner under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Pogba won four Serie A titles with Juventus but has been restricted to just League Cup and Europa League wins for United back in 2017.
After a miserable season last year leading to United dropping out of the Champions League, Pogba does not see the Red Devils guiding him to more major honours.
As a result, he is now looking elsewhere with Real Madrid leading the race for his signature as they prepare a fresh assault for La Liga and Champions League success following a summer spending spree.
Juventus could also tempt him back to Turin as they bid for a ninth straight Serie A title and aim to overcome their recent frustrations in the Champions League.
Paul Pogba is showing Manchester United “respect” despite the midfielder’s determination to force himself out of the club, according to his agent, Mino Raiola.
“He has been respectful and professional in every way and always. The club has known his feeling for a long time.”
Whilst United are hopeful of turning things around under Solskjaer, the magnitude of his task and their summer signings suggest a long-term rebuild is taking place before they are set to regain their place amongst Europe’s elite sides.
Pogba is not the only player considering an exit, with Victor Lindelof linked with a move after his agent admitted interest from a European giant, believed to be Barcelona.
Romelu Lukaku is also keen to depart for Italy to join Inter Milan, whilst Nemanja Matic is reportedly pondering his future and David de Gea is still yet to sign a new contract.
